Benefits Check Up Org - a free, nationwide service that enables seniors, their families and care givers to learn about federal, state and local assistance programs, determine what benefits they qualify for, and how to claim them. The database contains information on approximately 1,000 programs.
  2. Better Business Bureau - Before buying from a business you've never patronized before, make sure it has not received several complaints from customers.
  3. Broome County Office for Aging
  4. CarFax - lets you check the accident history of any car (requires a VIN).
  5. Kelly Blue Book Online - check for new car pricing and used cars' fair market value, based on age and mileage.
  6. Light Living - is loaded with low-fat recipes, instructions on converting regular high-fat recipes to low-fat equivalents and a new recipe each week.
  7. Southern Tier Senior Net - Computer learning facilities for seniors. Visit website or call 748-6363 and leave a message.
