2009 Broome County Senior Games - Lodging

For VB players needing lodging on the evening before the BCSG Competitive Volleyball there are two options:

Red Roof Inn - 590 Fairview St, Johnson City, NY 13790   Map     Map to JC Middle School

This motel is located very close to the playing site (see map above) and is providing a special rate of $55.49 (+ tax) for 1-4 persons with 2 full sized beds, non-smoking.

Call 1-607-729-8940 or 1-800-874-9000 for reservations, before Saturday, Nov. 1st and mention Block Code: B303VOLLEY to get the special rate. They have allocated a block of only 12 rooms, so reserve early.

Directions -
Take the Oakdale Mall/Reynolds Road Exit #70N off NYS Route 17 in Johnson City, NY. Follow the exit ramp road to the traffic light at the intersection (big). Go straight thru this intersection (on to Reynolds Road). After you pass the next light at the Mall entrance (about 1/4 mile), continue for a short distance (maybe 1/10 mile) and turn right at the first street (Fairview St, right turn only) and proceed to the Inn. There is a Red Roof sign on the corner of this street but it's not too obvious.

Knights Inn(was Kings Inn) - 2603 E. Main St, Endicott, NY   Map

This less expensive alternative to the Red Roof Inn is 4 miles further away and not quite as nice as the Red Roof. But their special rate is $50 + tax (same as last year) and 10 rooms with double beds for two persons (non-smoking), are being held until October 30th.

Call 1-800-531-4667 or 1-607-754-8020 for reservations. Mention the Broome Co. Senior Games Volleyball/Sents. It's straight forward to get to the playing site - just follow Rt. 17 C (Main St) eastward for about two miles and then bear left on to Rt. 17 and then take exit 70N.... follow above direction to the Red Roof/Playing site. There's a good Italian restaurant, Tony's, near Knights(Kings) Inn and the Crossroads diner for breakfast.

Directions:
Take exit #67N off NYS Rte. 17/I 86 in Endicott. Follow exit ramp up, on to the bridge, which is Rte. 26N. After you cross the river, take the right exit on to Rte 17c east (Main St). Follow this for about 1/2 mile (thru 2 lights) to Knights (Kings) Inn on the left (across from cemetery).
